CHILDREN will not be forgotten this Christmas, a councillor has said.

The Friends of Wepre Park along with the Rangers and Water Bailiffs from the Park all donated Advent Calendars which will be delivered to Plas Bellin Children's Home for the youngsters to enjoy up to Christmas Day.

Cllr Ian Dunbar, of Connah's Quay town council also delivered the advent calendars.

He told the Leader: "Plas Bellin is well known in the area for looking after the young parents and their children who have nowhere to live initially, staying at the Hall gives them comfort and safety to help them to receive skills to enable them to gain their own tenancy in the community.

"We as Friends of Wepre Park, Councillors, Park Rangers and Water Bailiffs enjoy donating to the children which we have done with Easter Eggs and now Advent Calendars for them to open to the run up to Christmas."

The Leader:

Plas Bellin Hall offers temporary supported accommodation for families.

The support team is responsible for providing coordinated support-including multi-agency working, to assist each service user in achieving outcomes identified from their individual support plans.

Cllr Dunbar added: "The organisation that provide the families with support is Local Solutions and with the support of the dedicated staff it's a joy to donate to the children just to see the smiles from them each time showing them they are not forgotten at this festive time.

"Merry Christmas to all at Plas Bellin."
