IT IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas in this Flintshire town as the festivities begin.

Crowds of people attended the annual Christmas Fair in Connah’s Quay which aimed to be ‘bigger and better’.

This year saw a real Christmas tree which is set to become deeply rooted in the history of Connah’s Quay.

Clerk Steve Goodrum said: “This year the tree is a real, living, rooted tree which will grow over time.

“The town council is pleased to host the event and bring the Quay together.

“There was lots going on for people of all ages and a free mince pie and mulled wine.”

Attendees enjoyed a variety of different stalls from Christmas Crafts to festive foods.

Children also received a special visit from Santa Clause, who took time out of his busy schedule to hand out goodie bags to local children.

Live entertainment was also on show at the Civic Hall including dancers, martial arts and Zumba performances, in a bid to spread the Christmas Spirit.
