A 41-year-old local man jailed for 35 days on Friday for stealing from two Colwyn Bay stores has been recalled to prison until the end of December anyway, magistrates were told.
Appearing in the dock at Llandudno court, Paul Christopher Egan, who said he had no fixed address, pleaded guilty to thefts of groceries and vodka from the Spar and Morrisons at Colwyn Bay.
His solicitor Graham Parry said: “He has numerous issues, drugs is one of them, homelessness, and making arrangements for his benefits. But he is anxious to get some help.”
Court chairman Darren Campbell pointed out that the theft from the Spar happened despite him being banned from there.
