BACK by popular demand, a Llandudno stand-up stalwart returns with an award-winning Edinburgh Festival vet at its helm this weekend.

After 13 months - and a change of location from Builder Street - 3rd Space Kitchen and Bar will reprise their delicious combination of top comedy acts with street food from around the world.

Headlining the first returning event on Saturday, December 7 at 7.30pm is Russell Howard's Good News guest Gareth Richards.

In October 2004 Gareth Richards did his first ever gig aboard the Wibbly Wobbly Boat, a notorious venue compered by alternative comedy veteran Malcolm Hardy. The appearance earned him comedy's equivalent of a hand shake from The Great British Bake Off's Paul Hollywood from Hardy alongside disbelief at his the lack of experience.

Since then, Richards has become an instant favourite on the comedy circuit thanks to his hilarious stand-up chops and musical comedy interludes and was a finalist in the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2007 competition, as well as runner-up in the Amused Moose Laugh-Off 2007.

In 2010 he took his first solo stand up show, Stand Up Between Songs to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was nominated for Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer. He has taken a show to Edinburgh nearly every year since, and in 2018 is performing his eighth solo show, Prophet at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Hi other on screen credits include stints on BBC3's Live at the Electric and the CBBC panel show The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC).

Richards will be joined by fellow comedian Bill Woolland and compere Tony Vino, and this month's menu will spotlight vegan curries.

Tickets are £10, available from 3rdspace.wales.
