FROZEN fever has taken over a hair and beauty salon - in celebration of the new movie.

Taylor & Pearson, in Old Colwyn, has transformed their venue into a Disney-inspired winter wonderland to raise money for charity. As part of the decor, a raffle is running to support Happy Faces which helps sick, disabled and disadvantaged children.

A raffle - which includes the Frozen characters in the display, including reindeer Sven worth £120, is running until December 23 and will drawn on December 24.

Alyssa Fryer, junior stylist, said: “The whole salon has been decked out. We have done the whole Frozen thing for the film.

“Laura Taylor [co-owner] made the Olaf using chicken wire. It took four weeks.”

Laura runs the salon with Koren Pearson, co-owner. Gemma Mackenzie, nail technician, was absent but helped with the display.

Taylor and Pearson have a different theme every year. Money raised will help Happy Faces purchase a mini bus.

Next year, Gaz Rowlands and Sam Ranshaw will run 254 miles for Happy Faces from Old Colwyn to London and complete the London Marathon.

Laura added: “It’s a perfect way to tie in with their [Gaz and Sam] efforts and help such a good local cause.

"I know Christmas can be a difficult time for some, I lost my mum five years ago, when I see people walking past and smiling at the display, it makes it all worthwhile."

Frozen 2 was released on November 22.
