A PLOT of land in Drury has been sold to a housebuilding firm.
Legat Owen confirmed at the end of November that the site, which is located just off Pen y Coed Road, had been sold to MacBryde Homes.
The housebuilder confirmed to the Leader that it is planning to press ahead with plans for 24 homes, following previous approval of outline permission.
Confirming their purchase of the site, Flintshire CEO of Macbryde Homes Gwyn Jones said: “We are delighted to have secured this site which marks our second development in Flintshire this year.
“It is our intention, subject to planning, to deliver 24 homes comprised of a mix of two-bedroom mews homes, three-bedroom semis and also three and four-bedroom detached properties.
“The majority of these will be available to purchase through Help To Buy Wales.
In June 2018 the Leader reported on the concerns of Pen Y Coed road residents over plans at that time for 23 homes. Concerns raised were the impact on traffic, wildlife and properties.
