ONE of the most eagerly anticipated events in Llandudno's calendar will no longer take place next summer.

The Llandudno Jazz Festival will not return to Bodafon Farm next July, with the potential for "bigger, better" event in the winter..

Founded by Geoff Burke and his son Ed, who dies in January, the festival has established itself as a mainstay on the promenade during the summer months over the past years.

A spokesperson for the event said: "We are sorry but the Llandudno Jazz Festival is cancelled next year - but watch this space for news regarding next Winter 2020-21 for another more extensive festival in Llandudno.

"We aim to make it bigger, better and more varied"

"We will update you as soon as we have more information.

"In the meantime we wish you all a sincere happy Christmas and New Year."
