KEVIN the Carrot has built up a big fan base but it appears Aldi shoppers in North Wales are among his biggest admirers.

Shoppers at Aldi stores in Liverpool, Chester and North Wales bought over 40 per cent more Kevin and Katies than those visiting Aldi stores in other parts of the UK after the toys went on sale at the end of November.

For the fourth year running, people queued outside stores in the early hours of the morning to grab a Kevin and Katie toy after they went on sale on November 28.

Over half of the Kevin the Carrot cuddly toys were sold out in the first day.

Aldi has stores in Old Colwyn, Llandudno, Rhuddlan, Rhyl and Bangor.

Since his on-screen debut, Kevin has been on all sorts of adventures.

This year he can be seen in a pickle thanks to the cunning Russell Sprout and his gang of Leafy Blinders.
