RHYL FC are holding an open meeting for the club’s loyal fanbase next week.

The event will take place at the Educate Group Stadium on Monday, December 30 from 7pm and will give those in attendance a chance to ask any questions about the direction of the club to chairman Paul Higginson and managing director Adam Roche.

Mr Roche, who took over from Mike Jones in the summer, said: “I would like to share my findings following my first six months in charge and open up to give the supporters an opportunity to discuss with club management where we are heading and some of the issues that the club will need to face in the future to move forward.

“Hopefully the meeting will give an opportunity for supporters to consider some of the difficult issues the club are currently facing which need to be addressed to enable us to move forward with confidence.”

Mr Roche also emphasised the need for ongoing support from businesses across the town and the community in general in order to push the club forward in the weeks, months and years to come.

“The football team has been going for over 140 years now in the town and for generations it’s been one of the bedrocks of town life,” he added.

“There are some great opportunities for people to get involved with the club both from a voluntary and a commercial perspective to help unlock the fan base and the potential.”

“The meeting will be an opportunity for all to come together and discuss how at the start of the new decade we can ensure that the club progresses back to where it used to be in the higher levels of Welsh Football.”
