MORE THAN two hundred mini coopers gathered on The Promenade in Llandudno recently.

Held by the Wirral minis club on January 12, the event welcomed all variants of the classic vehicle to the town on what was rainy but successful day according to organisers.

The run started at Bromborough on the Wirral and then headed towards North Wales. The cars had a regroup at Rhos on Sea before travelling along the coast into Llandudno.

The cars went along the prom and through the toll at marine drive before heading up the winding roads to the summit of the Great Orme for a short break and photo opportunities.

The run then resumed down the steep winding road from the summit and around marine drive to Llandudno's west shore taking in some breathtaking views along the way before heading to the promenade to park up for the afternoon for the public to view and admire the colourful display of iconic minis on show.

The Wirral to Llandudno run is an established event which begins the season for the mini enthusiast, where often they showcase their newly restored minis.

Terry Hulbert from Anglesey was one of those people - displaying his stunning mini pick up. Meanwhile, Kath and Dilwyn Price of Abergele brought along their quirky Mini Scamp which just shows the dedication these enthusiasts have to attend events in any weather.
