WELSH rugby star Sam Warburton recently entertained guests at a Llandudno venue.

Loyal fans came from all over North Wales to attend the event held at St George’s Hotel on January 15.

Whilst there, Warburton signed books and shirts among other items and posed for pictures with guests.

The event provided those in attendance with a rare opportunity to share company with and hear from the most capped Captain of the Wales International Rugby Team just weeks before the start of the Six Nations Championships start.

Guests also enjoyed a three course meal and took part in a charity auction.

A spokesperson for St George's said: "We were very lucky to secure Sam for an event at St George’s Hotel, after the success of the previous events with Warren Gatland he was the one rugby star we particularly wanted to work with, especially after all the TV coverage he received during the Rugby World Cup.

"Demand for the event was very strong with over 160 guests attending and the premium tickets which included a drinks reception with Sam were extremely sought after.

"We hope to be announcing another rugby event for later this year, hopefully with another Kiwi Welsh Coach."

Fans favourite Warburton, 31, has been capped 74 times for Wales, being captain for a record-breaking 49 of those appearances.
