A man is fighting for his life following a one-car collision in Criccieth on Thursday night.
The incident, which involved a silver coloured Volkswagen Passat, happened on the A497 Pwllheli Road just prior to entering the 30mph zone in Criccieth shortly before 9.40pm.
The emergency services attended and the driver was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.
He has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke.
Sergeant Trystan Bevan of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we’re appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the Volkswagen prior to the collision to come forward."
Anybody living in the area and who may have private CCTV is asked to make contact with North Wales Police on 101 quoting incident number Y013892.
The road re-opened shortly after 3am.
