AN APPEAL has been launched for the driver of a car who might have witnessed a burglary in Llandudno.

Two men have already been arrested in connection with the attempted burglary and bailed by the police. A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “We're asking the driver of a Seat Ibiza, or similar vehicle, that was parked on North Parade, Llandudno at approx 1.30am on last Tuesday to contact us. The driver is not a suspect but may have witnessed an attempted burglary. Call 101 ref 20000074278 if you have information.”

The spokesperson confirmed the appeal was related to the arrest this week of two men in connection with two separate attempted burglaries. Llandudno hospital was the target of one of the attempted burglaries and the other was the Grand Hotel.

The spokesperson said: “The two men were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in a stolen car with cloned plates.

“The men were arrested in the King’s Road area of Llandudno. A police helicopter and the dog unit were involved in locating the men.”
