PUPILS aged between six and seven at a Llandudno school have made enough money making and selling bee charm bracelets to make contributions to local charities.

Mrs Lisa Jones, their teacher explained they had set up a class business called Bee Mindful Buzziness. She said: “The children write poems to support and inspire a positive healthy mind. They thread a bee charm bracelet and package these with the poems.

“The children have these stocked in around 15 locations locally and have made enough profit since September to fund the installation and purchase of their own playground gym to support their mental health development.

“The children also donate 10% of their profits every month to Mind and Young Minds charities. They have also supported St David's hospice with a donation as well as starting up a link this month with Holly Trinity church where the children are funding the purchase of food to feed the homeless. The school has 10 beehives and a flock of chickens.
