A FUNDRAISING drive has been launched to help an ‘amazing’ daughter with a terminal heart condition make treasured memories with her family.

Tina Taylor, of Rhyl, is 32. She was born with complications including being blind in her right eye and is partially sighted in her left. She also suffers deafness in her left ear, has microcephaly [a condition where the head (circumference) is smaller than normal], mild cerebral palsy and Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) of the heart, a hole in the heart.

Tina, who has three brothers, was diagnosed with a terminal heart condition. The right side of her heart has stopped working which in turn, causes pressure on her lungs.

A fundraising page has been set up to ensure whatever time she has left is ‘truly memorable.’ The family have desires to take their daughter to Euro Disney.

Mum Izzy said: “Tina was born with complications and as she has been growing up, she has experienced more problems. She has always had a heart condition, a hole in the heart.

“We saw a heart specialist about a fortnight ago at Wrexham Maelor and he was so nice. He said that she had about one to five years. It was so hard but I appreciated his honesty. I knew deep down something was wrong, you know as a mum.

“She could pass away in her sleep or have a massive heart attack. My whole world fell apart.

“She is such an amazing person. She is beautiful, she doesn’t complain and she likes little things. She is comical. She will turn 33 next month.”

Izzy and Steven have been exploring options to see if they can take Tina on a trip to Euro Disney.

Izzy, who is usually the fundraiser, said the community, individuals and friends have already been ‘amazing’ in their support.

“Tina is amazing,” Izzy added.

“She loves to go shopping, little things just catch her eye, and she just appreciates everything.

“We’d like to give her a holiday in Blackpool, just a chance to spend time together as a family. She went giddy with excitement when we mentioned Blackpool, asking to take her brother.

“I’m usually the one who does the fundraising. People have been so nice saying ‘it is your time.’

“Tina is my whole life. I had her when I was 17.

“She keeps bouncing back. I can’t see my life without her.”

Rhyl fundraising group Belief are have set up the JustGiving page.

Steve Evans, founder of the Rhyl based group, said: “Tina has an amazing Mum, Izzy and such a loving family.

“Belief were informed about Tina by a mutual friend on social media. It’s plain to see in her pictures that Tina is full of love and happiness, so after hearing of this devastating news, of which I can’t even begin to understand what her loving Mum Izzy and the rest of the family must be going through, we wasted no time contacting Izzy and setting up a JustGiving page.

“I’m sure our whole community will be wishing this lovely family all the very best.

"Here’s hoping we can raise enough for some lasting memories to be made.”
