THE heavy rain this morning has resulted in a road being closed.

Graig Road, in Denbigh, has been closed from Pen Cae Du Crossroads to Colomendy Industrial Estate due to a significant amount of water.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.

There are a total of 13 flood alerts in place in the North Wales region this morning (Monday).

The latest alert, issued at around 8.50am, is for the River Erch at Abererch.

This covers parts of the village near Pont Abererch, including Glan Erch and Post Office Terrace.

A flood alert is in place for the North Gwynedd catchment, covering areas around the rivers of North West Wales, from Abergwyngregyn to Aberdaron.

There's a flood alert for the River Conwy at Gwydir Road, which is for areas of agricultural land and isolated properties in the Conwy Valley.

A flood alert remains in place for the Alyn catchment, for areas around the River Alyn from Llandegla to Rossett, with an alert also in place for the Clwyd catchment.

This is for areas around the River Clwyd from Clocaenog to Ruthin.

Conwy catchment is also the subject of a flood alert, covering areas around the Rover Conwy from Dolwyddelan to Conwy.

The other flood alerts are for the Mawddach and Wnion catchment, the Glaslyn and Dwyryd catchment, the Dyfi catchment, the River Dyfi at Pont ar Ddyfi, Rossett, the Dysynni catchment and Dolgellau.
