Teams of Business Administration students from Coleg Llandrillo recently organised an enterprise event, raising funds for two charities in the process.

The three groups organised a whole host of activities, including the sale of homemade candles and lavender bags, along with a raffle for a giant tub of sweets. They also set up an online FiFA competition, with all proceeds going to the charities Mind and Dorran’s House.

One of the students said: “What a fantastic day. We received so much support from both staff and students. It was great fun getting a chance to sell goods to people, and to raise much-needed funds for two charities was the icing on the cake.”

Ann Marie Tramaseur, curriculum coordinator for Business Administration at Coleg Llandrillo, said: “Congratulations to all the students involved; this was the culmination of weeks of hard work. They have all been brilliant: from the initial planning through thorough researching to engaging with customers on their stalls.”

There are over 20,000 people currently employed in North Wales who work in office administration roles and over 48,000 working in customer service, retail and sales.
