Kathy Cassidy, aged 55 had her head shaved in memory of her mum Marjorie to raise funds for St David’s Hospice. The hair raising fund raising event took place at Mirrors Hair and Beauty in Llandudno and she collected sponsorship totalling £1,560. Kathy, whose mother Marjorie died in November 2018, said: “The care given to my mum was amazing. She loved it in St David’s Hospice, she was treated like a Queen. I’ve been in Mirrors for 32 years. When my clients and family heard about it they really got behind me. I want the funds and awareness I raise to keep up the high standard of care St David’s gives. The time Mum was there was happy joyful and that’s what I want everyone to understand the hospice isn’t scary, it’s a wonderful place.”
