LLANDUNO’s Victorian Extravaganza has been cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.

Chris Williams the Extravaganza chairman said: “This is, of course, a great disappointment to everyone involved, but we must do this because the health and safety of our visitors comes first.

“Although this is not good news for lots of people who have made plans we can assure everyone this is not the end and planning has already started for the 2021 Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza.”

The event in past years has brough an air of magic and a focus on free entertainment and thousands of visitors descend upon the town boosting the local economy.

The festival celebrates Llandudno’s Victorian heritage, bringing a display of traditional entertainment, parades and exhibits to the Town. The event has been established for 34 years and normally takes place on the first May bank holiday weekend each year. It takes over the main streets of Llandudno for the full three days.
