CONWY County Borough Council (CCBC) has issued its latest update during the coronavirus lockdown this afternoon.
The big announcement from them is that a temporary hospital is set to be introduced in North Wales to help alleviate pressure on NHS staff.
Venue Cymru in Llandudno is to be converted into a temporary hospital providing around 350 additional beds to support Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board’s response to COVID-19.
The Council is also offering Business Support during these difficult times.
The Welsh Government has announced a package of support for businesses in Wales through the Coronavirus pandemic. Details are available at: https://www.conwy.gov.uk/en/Business/Business-Rates/Welsh-Government-Business-Grants.aspx
A spokesperson for CCBC said: "To help us further protect as many people in our community as possible, we’d urge the public to contact us by phone or online.
"If you have any queries about the virus visit the Public Health Wales website at phw.nhs.wales for the latest advice.
"We are working closely with Public Health Wales, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and the emergency services to ensure that appropriate and proportionate arrangements are in place to respond to this rapidly developing situation.
"We will continue to follow the guidance we receive from UK Government, Welsh Government and Public Health Wales."
