Body found in search for missing Preston man
Officers searching for a missing man have sadly found a body.
Siddharth Murkumbi, aged 23 from Preston was last heard from at around 8.30pm on Sunday, March 15.
Yesterday, police were contacted by a member of the public who reported seeing the body of a man near to the swing bridge on Maritime Way, Preston.
Whilst he has yet to be formally identified, police believe it to be Siddharth. His family have been informed.
The discovery is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be passed to HM Coroner.
A police statement read, "We'd like to say a huge thanks to everyone who responded to our previous appeal in our search to find Siddharth. Our thoughts very much remain with his family and friends at this very sad time."
