A DRUNKEN man was heard hurling racist abuse outside an Indian takeaway in Flintshire.

Police said they were called to the High Street in Buckley at 2.41am on Monday to reports of a man who was very intoxicated and shouting racist remarks.

An eye-witness, wishing to remain anonymous, said the incident occurred outside the Akash Tandoori takeaway.

They told the Leader: "A man outside the takeaway was shouting vile racist things to the workers.

"At a time of national crisis to think that being out drunk during lockdown shouting that idiotic nonsense is acceptable is shameful.

"He was going on about at least he's British, well he doesn't represent Britain, and he certainly doesn't represent Buckley.

"To the workers of Akash I’m sorry you had to experience that nonsense, we thank you for great food and staying open in these troubling times."

The main in question is described as being in his 20s and was wearing dark clothes at the time of the incident.
