THERE have been 17 new cases of coronavirus reported across north Wales, health chiefs have said.
Public Health Wales (PHW) released the latest figures on Sunday afternoon.
According to the data, as of 2pm on Sunday there has been a total of 1,079 cases of the virus reported across the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area.
The figures also confirmed that as of 5pm on Saturday, there have been 98 deaths across the region.
Of the 17 new reported cases, there were six in Wrexham, three in Gwynedd, three on Anglesey, two in Conwy, two in Denbighshire and one in Flintshire.
Across Wales, the total number of coronavirus cases reported is now 9,078 and the total number of deaths is 788 - but a PHW spokesman said the true number will be higher.
