WITH support from more than 60 business, a fundraiser for St David’s Hospice has raised 660 percent of its original goal.

A ‘Rainbow Raffle’ organised by Glan Clwyd Hospital and Ysbyty Gwynedd pharmacy technician Alyssa Smee, former hospice employee Daisy Magill and teacher Zoe Hother saw 69 business donate prizes in the fundraiser.

By the time of the prize draw, on Friday May 8, the trio managed to raise £6,600 - more than six times their initial £1,000 goal.

Miss Smee said: “We are all pleased as we had set out to raise £1,000 and raised so much more.

“The donations we received from all of the local businesses were really great and shows how supportive the community are of St Davids - even in such hard circumstances.

“We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated.”
