HUNDREDS of cars were stopped over the bank holiday as part of lockdown vehicle checks.
A spokesman for the North Flintshire policing team confirmed that checks were made on Chester Road in Oakenholt and a total of 500 vehicles were stopped.
A number of cars were turned away due to day trippers coming over to Wales.
The spokesman confirms that patrols were also carried out on Talacre beach and advice was given to families who were not local to the area.
They added: "A couple from Birmingham were advised to return home immediately.
"We look forward to welcoming visitors back one day when it is safe to do so, but for now please #StayHome
"Thank you to the vast majority of you who are staying at home - top job."
