A NINE-YEAR-OLD member of a girl guides and brownies group has raised £367 for two good causes by holding a jumble sale at the end of her driveway.

Whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines, Ruby McKinley, who is a member of the 1st Glan Conwy Brownies club, raised the money for Awyr Las and the children’s ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital, Bangor.

Brown Owl Gill Wilkinson said: "Ruby recently decided she wanted to raise much-needed funds for her local NHS charities.

"With the help of some of the other Brownies and the wider community, she achieved exactly what she set out to do. Ruby has definitely earned her charities badge."

The Glan Conwy Brownies Club itself has existed for nearly 50 years, consistently doing its bit for the community.
