LLANDUDNO’S popular annual Postcard Fair has been cancelled.
This year’s event, which would have been its eighth following its launch in 2013, was due to take place on August 15 at the Craig-y-Don Community Centre.
Event secretary Karlyn Goulborn, said: “We have one large room and 2 or 3 smaller ones, and run a refreshments bar, but we couldn’t see how we could apply social distancing for the event.”
Organisers have revealed that Llandudno’s Postcard Fair will once again take place on August 21 2021. Some of the dealers have already re-booked for then.
The event is famous for its Welsh warm welcome with the Welsh lady offering dealers, catering for beginners and established collectors, some Bara Brith before the fair opens.
It is the only dedicated postcard fair in the whole of North Wales, and collectors come from all parts, and from England too - one regular drives up from Hampshire. It also boasts a popular refreshment bar.ular.
