A '"CARELESSLY discarded" cigarette has led to a shop fire in Colwyn Bay.
Fire crews from Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Rhyl spent more than an hour tackling the fire at a three storey commercial property on Station Road on Thursday, June 18.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue said: "We were called at 12.07pm, to a fire caused by a carelessly discarded cigarette.
"The fire affected a basement at rear of building, causing 1 square metre of damage. There was slight smoke damage to shop.
"The stop was called at 1.27pm."
