A FLINTSHIRE woman has challenged herself to help children who are suffering from cancer.
Samantha Magness, from Buckley, has decided to raise £550 and donate 12 inches of her own hair to the Little Princess Trust.
This will allow one wig to be made for a young child who is battling cancer.
She told the Leader: "I've thought about it for a while but I never did it and when we went into lockdown I just thought about it a bit more.
"Even though we are in a pandemic, those children will still suffer and face their cancer battle. I thought this would be a perfect time to donate, especially since my hair has grown quite long.
"I just wanted to do my bit to help.
"There are lots of children and young people who suffer and battle cancer. It affects their self-confidence and esteem.
"I know people who have been through their own personal cancer battle so I just thought it would be a nice thing to do.
"I set the target as £550 as that is how much it costs to make a wig, they don't receive any funding."
Samantha is set to face the chop on July 31.
