THE body of a Conwy pensioner had lain in his home for a considerable time before being discovered, it was revealed at the opening of an inquest.
The partly decomposed body of 79-year-old Brian Quarmby was found in his house in Iolyn Park, Conwy, on February 19, and he was identified by a neighbour.
At a brief hearing in Ruthin John Gittins, coroner for North Wales East and Central, said that consultant pathologist Dr Mared Owen-Casey had been unable to ascertain the cause of death.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
