A COMMUNITY park could receive a grant for much-needed renovation, but it needs your help.

Llanferres children's playground and community park, situated between Mold and Ruthin off the A494, has succeeded with being shortlisted for a £1,000 grant award from the Calor Rural Community Fund.

The money will contribute towards replacement of timber posts that need replacing after 20 years of use.

Sean Thomas, Chairman of the charity which manages and fundraises the volunteer-run facility said: "This is a competition, and we need the public support from "likes (1pt)" and "donations (of any amount is 10pts)" to win the £1,000.

“We want to thank everyone in anticipation of their support. You can like or donate via this link Llanferres Park Timber Post Replacements.

The deadline for likes and donations is Thursday, July 16.
