A WELL known hairdresser has put down her scissors after more than 40-years as she welcomes in retirement.

Pat Fey has been running Feys in Wrexham Town Centre for more than four decades and has handed over her keys and comb to Debbie Edwards who has worked alongside her for 30 years. She has renamed the business Deb’en Hair.

Pat has certainly seen the styles change since she opened the salon doors in 1978.

She said: “I have seen to the hair of mothers, their daughters and even granddaughters and have made lots of the regulars real friends and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all their support over the years.

“All the best to Debbie too, in her new role as boss.”

Pat lives with her husband Peter in Garden Village, Wrexham. The couple have two children, daughter Andrea and son Francis and six grandchildren.

She plans to take a rest from the busy salon life in her retirement but Peter joked ‘That will be a first’.
