CONNAH'S Quay Nomads will face Bosnian side FK Sarajevo in the First Qualifying Round of the UEFA Champions’ League.

The Cymru Premier League champions will play the tie behind closed doors at the Cardiff City Stadium on August 18 - with the stadium already having Covid-19 safety measures in place.

Nomads, entering the competition for the first time, were one of 34 teams in the draw which took place at UEFA HQ in Switzerland on Sunday morning.

With no second leg, the tie will be decided on the night - with extra time and a penalty shoot-out available if required.

If they win, Nomads will advance on to the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round - a defeat would see them compete in the Europa League second qualifying round.

Nomads manager Andy Morrison tweeted that it was "very humbling" to listen to the Champions League music and then have the club's name read out.
