A POPULAR weekend of art. music and food held annually on Conwy quayside has been postponed until 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Gwledd Conwy Feast usually takes place around October time, but this time around has been moved and instead scheduled for May 22 and 23 of next year.

The festival is claimed to be one of the biggest in Wales and has been organised by a not for profit community organisation since 2004.

Fears were raised last September when a reduction in public funding left it facing an uncertain future. However, organisers have re-assured members of the public that they will be back once more in 2021.

A joint-statement from Gwledd Conwy Feast organisers said: "Due to issues with social distancing and the Welsh Governments current restrictions on live events, we have made the decision to postpone our October 2020 event.

"The event will now take place on the 22nd & 23rd May 2021. We hope the spring event will give Gwledd Conwy Feast a fresh new outlook and kickstart the beginning of a great summer season.

"Keep following our page for the latest updates and festival news. See you in May!"

Over the years, the Gwledd Conwy Feast has showcased the best produce from the local area across a variety of stalls, real ales, craft displays, workshops, projections on the quayside and so much more.

During the weekend the town is transformed, with venues dotted all over and fun provided for people of all ages.
