CONWY County Borough Council planning officers are investigating 'concerns over the structure' of a fish and chip shop which first appeared on Llandudno Pier last week.
Shaped like a lighthouse, the chippy was first spotted in its location near the entrance of the pier just before Bank Holiday weekend, and instantly divided opinion.
Some on social media say it fits in with a seaside location but others claim a Conservation Area like the pier is not suitable for the 20ft chip shop.
CCBC planning officers are now investigating the chippy after concerns were raised.
A spokeswoman for the council said: "Planning officers are aware of concerns about this structure and are looking into the matter".
Pier owner Adam Williams has been approached for comment.
