POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a road near Betws-y-Coed was closed for five hours following a motorbike crash.

North Wales Police shut the A5 at Penmachno following the incident at about 3pm on Sunday, September 20.

Police said the incident involved one motorbike.

The road remained closed until just before 9pm.

A police spokesperson tweeted: "Please contact us if you have any information in regards to a road traffic collision on the A5 near Penmachno, Betws-Y-Coed involving one motorbike.
