ALL sixth form pupils in Ysgol Aberconwy, Conwy have been told to self isolate after a case of Covid-19 has been discovered in their group.
A spokesperson for Conwy County Borough Council said: “We have contacted all students in the sixth form and informed them they should self-isolate for 14 days, and their learning will continue from home during that period.
The school is working closely with Public Health Wales, the local authority and the NHS Wales Test, Trace and Protect (TTP) to ensure all the appropriate measures are in place to protect learners, staff and the wider community.
“The measures the school has put in place mean that other contact groups have been kept separate from each other, and that any affected areas of the site are thoroughly cleaned. The school therefore remains open to all other students.”
Ysgol Aberconwy is an English medium, mixed comprehensive school for ages 11 to 18.
The council’s spokesperson confirmed only one positive case of Covd-19,
