MEMBERS of Llandudno Rotary Club have helped in the town’s latest beach clean organised by the Marine Conservation Society.
The Society organises a beach clean every month. The Rotarians worked under the guidance of Patricia Stone, who organises the Llandudno Beach Clean for the Society. Chris Drew of Llandudno Rotary Club said: “We helped clean an area of North Shore beach near the pier, which is the town’s most popular and most used beach and gets the most rubbish left.”
Patricia Stone said: “We picked the litter over a 100 metre area. The results aid the Marine Conservation Society’s attempts to influence Government policy on such issues as the charge on plastic bags. I am sorry to add that the Rotary Club found a lot of broken glass this year in the survey area.”
