CHANGES have been introduced on a school bus service from Rhyl in an attempt to reduce crowding amid the ongoing pandemic.

Denbighshire County Council’s Passenger Transport Service is working in partnership with Ysgol Glan Clwyd in St Asaph to implement the changes.

From Monday, October 12, buses for pupils of certain ages will operate from the Rhyl area to the school.

A new bus timetable and schedule, together with a list of bus stops and a journey map, has been issued to parents / guardians.

A similar service is being set up for pupils travelling to Ysgol Glan Clwyd from the Prestatyn area.

A spokepserson from Denbighshire County Council said: "This new arrangement will come into effect when the self-isolation period for these buses end.

"Information will be issued to parents and guardians in the Prestatyn area this week.

"It is vital that pupils receive this important information, as not all buses will stop at every bus stop.

"This has been introduced to reduce crowding at these bus stops.

"All pupils travelling on buses to Ysgol Glan Clwyd are expected to wear a face covering at all times."
