A SCARECROW competition with a spooky twist is being held this Halloween.

Residents in Prestatyn are being asked to create a Halloween scarecrow to display in their garden.

The contest is open until October 28 and a prize of £100 is on offer and £50 for runner up.

A spokesperson for Prestatyn Town Council, who have organised the competition, said: "Prestatyn Town Council have been working hard to ensure that we can host Covid safe activities that bring people together and make them feel part of the community during this time.

"We've had some very positive feedback so far and we've had some great entries which are all being posted to the Whats On Prestatyn Facebook and Instagram pages.

"We would encourage everyone to look and see what you have around the house that can be used to make your spooky masterpiece.
