JANET Finch-Saunders has been re-adopted by the Aberconwy Conservative Party as its candidate in next May’s Senedd elections.

She was first elected as the Aberconwy representative in 2011.

Mrs Finch-Saunders, who has held a number of shadow ministerial portfolios, said: “It is an incredible privilege to have been re-adopted by the Aberconwy Conservative Association as its candidate for the Senedd elections in May 2021.

“It was the honour of a lifetime to have been elected as the constituency’s very first Welsh Conservative Assembly Member in 2011, and then again in 2016 where I successfully increased our vote share. I look forward to continuing this success.

“I am looking forward to continuing my work on flooding, as well as my campaigns to support our farmers and help the green economy grow, by supporting the expansion of a raft of bold and innovative renewable technologies that will bring highly skilled green collar jobs home.

“All elected members are chosen to represent the views of their constituents and I take that duty incredibly seriously. I have undertaken several major public meetings over recent years, including on broadband, flooding, bus services and highway issues. Each meeting has resulted in positive outcomes for our constituents and businesses on these issues of local concern."
