A LLANDUDNO lifeboat volunteer has received an RNLI award for her outstanding efforts in setting up and managing visits to the station.
Myfanwy Jones, has received a special framed letter from the RNLI Chief Executive, Mark Dowie, who said Myfanwy was: “Always going beyond expectation, her contribution has helped the RNLI continue save lives at sea.”
Myfanwy said: “Setting up the Visitor Centre in the new lifeboat house took a lot of work, but the results made it all worthwhile; more than 14,000 visitors in our first two years and a lot of positive feedback. This recognition has put the icing on the cake but I could not have done it without support. I’d like to thank my team, who never cease to amaze visitors with their enthusiasm and knowledge, and also thank the crew and station management for their support.”
