KEY workers have been praised for their hard-work and dedication throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Jack Sargeant, MS for Alyn and Deeside has said he is incredibly proud of those doing all they can during the uncertain period.

As the number of coronavirus cases are on the rise across the country, key workers on the frontline continue to protect us all and keep essential services running at this extremely difficult time.

From teachers and supermarket staff to NHS nurses and cleaners - their dedication under immense pressure has been remarkable and we must not forget to recognise all they have done and continue to do for us all.

Jack Sargeant MS said: “On behalf of all my constituents I would like to say a huge thank you to all the NHS staff, pharmacy staff, carers, key retail staff, Flintshire Council staff and so many local people who working extremely hard at this challenging time.

“We also cannot forget all the volunteers who have gone above and beyond to help those most vulnerable in our communities, taking pressure off our NHS. I am incredibly proud of the community I represent as the residents of Alyn and Deeside continue to look out for one another.

“The current fire-break is our opportunity to come together once again and do our bit to support key workers, protect the NHS and save lives by staying home as much as possible. This will not be easy but together we can keep Wales safe.”
