CONWY residents are being encouraged to support small local businesses on the annual Small Business Saturday.
Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to shop local and support small businesses in their communities. The day itself takes place on the first Saturday in December each year (December 5) but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.
On Small Business Saturday, customers across the UK go out and support all types of small businesses, online, in offices and in stores. Many small businesses take part in the day by hosting events and offering discounts.
Robin Millar Aberconwy MP said: “Here we are fortunate enough to have many small innovative businesses spread across the length of breadth of Conwy. During the national lockdown earlier this year, I heard story after story of how many of those businesses were adapting and supporting you by altering their services, diversifying, adding value and more importantly, supporting their communities.
“Perhaps we have learnt this year to appreciate them in a way that we have not before. On Small Business Saturday we have an opportunity to say thank you to our local businesses."
