DESPITE professional dancer AJ Pritchard taking his top off to sleep, a trust has stressed there is no central heating at the I'm A Celebrity castle.

On a Twitter fleet and on their Instagram stories, Gwrych Castle in Abergele responded to speculation by posting a photograph with the wording: "We can confirm that the castle does not have central heating."

The trust put out the message following a flurry of tweets and comments by fans after the campmates were spotted in short sleeved tops.

One posted: "Is there heating in castle? It is Wales in November. They'd be freezing.

"Even Ant and Dec would be cold."

Another posted: "There might not be central heating in the celebrity castle, but I think there is industrial heaters. Also why is it never dark like in the jungle?"

Another fan said: "Why do they all look so hot in the castle? They must have a lot of heating in there. The only time it looks cold is on the steps."

Another user said: "They must have good heating in that castle as not one of them have said they are cold?"

Gwrych Castle was paid £300,000 by ITV as part of its I'm a Celebrity contract.

A spokesperson for Capture Wales, on behalf of Gwrych Castle, previously told the Journal: "The response has been incredible since the first episode aired (on Sunday, November 15). We’ve had a huge amount of support and comments from locals along with people wishing to visit the castle and the area once we reopen.

"We aim to use social media to showcase the beauty of the castle to the nation, from old and new photos to the future plans for Gwrych Castle.

"The welcome addition of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! has helped to carry out urgent works. However, they will be using generators and water tanks.

"For the castle to move forward long term, we need to connect to main supplies once again."

The trust is currently running a fundraiser to raise £50,000 to bring light and heat to the castle.
