A HOUSE in Abergele has been transformed in a festive wonderland to raise money for charity.
Ian and Jeanette Jackson, located in Llanfair Road, carried out their big switch-on with cllr Alan Hunter, mayor of Abergele, and his wife, mayoress Cheryl Hunter, on Sunday, November 29.
The couple have always decked out their house but this year, they are hoping their dazzling display can raise money for North Wales hospice Tŷ Gobaith.

Jeanette, who works for The upvc Outlet in Kinmel Bay, said: “The display took five full days to put together and several people were involved: Myself and Ian and employees Trevor Jones, Jennifer Dentith, Simon Dunning, Catherine Beach, Paul Beach, Paul Mercer and in addition, Calum Beach.
“We usually light up in December, usually around the second week, but we decided to do it earlier this year because we wanted to give more time to raise money for the charity.

“Christmas is about children and Hope House/Tŷ Gobaith are hospices which look after children at the end of life.
The display highlights several wintry scenes
“We could really think of no better charity which would benefit from any funds raised and hope that the children and staff alike who are part of this wonderful charity really enjoy the light display, even if only from photographs.”
The display features: Thousands of strands of white lights; a Christmas tree of the first floor balcony with different platform themes around the drive; Woodland animals including hare, hedgehogs, squirrels and robins; Snowman, Christmas tree, presents and candy canes; An alpine theme with snow capped mountains, stag and family of deer and an an Arctic display with a family of penguins and polar bears.
The main feature is an open fronted Santa house featuring Father Christmas relaxing in his home in front of the fire with festive tunes playing.
Everyone is welcome to visit the display but are asked to be mindful of social distancing restrictions.
Thousands of lights don the house
Cllr Hunter said: "The mayoress and I were so pleased and honoured to be asked to switch on this fantastic Christmas lights show.
"Ian and Jeanette have lit up their home to raise much needed funds for Tŷ Gobaith children's hospice and bring some joy to the community.
"This is another example of the warm sharing spirit that exists in and around Abergele."
