Boris Johnson visited pharmaceutical firm Wockhardt at their facility in Wrexham on Monday.
The Prime Minister toured the laboratory on Wrexham Industrial Estate, which will be making the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine if it is approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
He said: “This could – could, if we’re lucky, if everything goes right – be available just in a few weeks."
During his visit, Mr Johnson watched workers perform quality testing at the 'fill and finish' stage of the manufacturing process of Covid-19 vaccines
He also held a vial of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine, known as AZD1222, at the Wockhardt facility,
