A DRIVER was arrested on suspicion of intent to supply drugs following a police stop in Llysfaen.

North Wales' Roads Policing Unit said the 33-year-old man was arrested after testing positive for cannabis on Tuesday night.

Cash was also found in his vehicle which led to suspicion of intent to supply.

A search of his home address found further evidence of the charge.

"Car stopped in Llysfaen last night and a quantity of cannabis and cash was found," the Roads Policing Unit tweeted.

"The 33-year-old driver also tested positive for cannabis so was arrested, and also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

"A search of his home address was later carried out and more evidence of drug supply was discovered.

"The driver has since been released under investigation and our enquiries continue."
