A COUNCIL has changed a number of its school bus routes to a new provider.

Denbighshire County Council said the changes affect the 12S, 51S and X51 buses, which will now be provided by Alpine Travel rather than Arriva.

They include:

  • The 12S bus from Rhyl to Colwyn Bay, leaving at 7.40am and returning at 2.54pm.
  • The 12S bus from Rhyl to Colwyn Bay, leaving at 7.55am and returning at 3.09pm.
  • The 12S bus from Llandudno to Llanddulas, leaving at 7.40am and returning at 2.50pm.
  • The 51S bus from Rhyl to St Brigid's, leaving at 7.40am and returning at 3.33pm.
  • The S51 bus from Denbigh to Ysgol Brynhyfryd, leaving at 8.05am and returning at 3.40pm.

Other journeys on the Arriva services 12, 51 and X51 will continue to operate as normal.

A council spokesperson said: "Denbighshire County Council has announced emergency changes to some school transport services from (and including) Tuesday December 8th until further notice.

"The journeys will be operated by Alpine Travel rather than Arriva."
