THERE have been six more coronavirus related deaths reported in the North Wales region, latest figures show.

Data released by Public Health Wales on December 11 shows that there had been 144 new coronavirus cases in the North.

These can be broken down to one in Anglesey, nine in Conwy, 23 in Denbighshire, 56 in Flintshire, eight in Gwynedd and 47 in Wrexham.

The total number of cases since recording began can be broken down to 982 in Anglesey, 1,863 in Conwy, 1,947 in Denbighshire, 3,466 in Flintshire, 1,460 in Gwynedd and 4,350 in Wrexham.

Nationally, a total of 2,234 cases were reported as of December 11, bringing the total to 98,232.

Sadly, a further 29 people died bringing the death toll to 2,818.

Six of these were in the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board region, bringing the North Wales death toll to 553.

The First Minister previously announced that if cases continued to rise then Wales would face tighter restrictions after Christmas.

At the press conference on December 11 he said there were over 1,900 people in hospitals with coronavirus currently.

If this continued to rise, we could see over 2,500 in hospital on Christmas day alone.
